About BM

BUSHMADE was founded in August 2018 in a “back house” in Brooklyn. Our art is inspired by the creative process as it relates to both art and life. 

We make.  

We are creatives; always synthesizing information to solve and achieve in both our inner and outer landscapes of living. The “Bush” is the obsessive, tenacious, and beautiful being that is Nature. The cycles and seasons, ebbs and flows. The Bush is the rhythm of becoming.

 

It is also simply an association to Flatbush, Brooklyn, our home.

 

The “Made” alludes to the processes and outcomes of channeling the “Bush” into forms and experiences. Our aim is to inspire people to discover their Self in relation to the world, while harmonizing the two.  This is where Bushmade’s mantra, “Hire Self”, is drawn from. It can mean anything to everyone.
